Studies in Central and Eastern Europe - histories, cultures and societies
Studies in Central and Eastern Europe: Histories, Cultures and Societies (CEE) is an English language programme directed to everyone interested in learning about the mechanisms governing in Central and Eastern Europe. The goal of the field is to educate specialist in history, anthropology, ethnology and political science of the region enable to analyse local phenomena in the past as well as in present time. The programme includes classes of history, anthropology, ethnology and political sciences of CEE with a special emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries. It encompasses classes on important substantive issues as well as classes aimed at perfecting the research technique. Students will be provided access to internship in both public institutions and private companies.
Graduates of CEE studies should be ready to work in the cultural departments of public administration, national and international institutions and organizations, cultural establishments, publishing houses and mass media, as well as in education. They should be able to solve straightforward professional issues, gather, process and convey information as well as take part in teamwork. Graduates should master the foreign language at B2 level and be able to use the technical language necessary for the profession.
